Back with the living

For today's life drawing Alexis came back. I was afraid... very afraid. Mainly because i've never been able to draw her before. But i stayed confident... meaning without any expectations. I kept it simple, kept it light. Focused on the drawing, and watercolor layed at lighting speed. Otherwise I mingle with details and hit my head with endless conundrums. Unexpectedly, before my eyes, she became a muse.

An Awful Session

Nothing to post this week, I've just made an abysmal session today. Without a doubt the worst ever. I hate every mark I did. It's okay it doesn't really bother me. I think it's time to take a break from the ink and watercolor. Experiment new things for a couple of months. Charcoal, pastels, Wacom tablet, I don't know I'm very open.

Alexis, though session.

Last week session went too smoothly. Mainly because I had great expectations, but also the model we had was very skinny. Which is of course nice for a change, but very challenging. I usually prefer chubby and curvy models, much easier to draw. So I end up doing worthless pieces, spoiling papers. Expensive Arches paper... darn... So i decided to tackle on a new way of drawing and painting. Forgetting everything I knew about drawing and painting. Like if I was painting the very first time. I went in directly with the brushes without a preliminary drawing. So here is two pieces I`m able to look at and enjoy.
